A fixed process, so the rigour doesn't depend on the size of the job.
A council in the Central West gets the same method as a body corporate on the Gold Coast: written scope, sourced figures, checks that must pass, and a model you keep.
What you can hold us to.
- Fixed fee, agreed before work startsThe price quoted is the price invoiced. Half on signing, half on delivery. No hourly surprises.
- Every figure traces to a sourceNothing is estimated to fill a gap; a missing input is raised before anything is built on it.
- You keep the model, unlockedFormula-driven, documented, no macros, no licence. Your team runs the scenarios after we leave.
- Exclusions written down up frontScope and exclusions are on page one of the proposal.
- Built for the room it lands inReports are written to be tabled at a council meeting, an AGM or a credit committee.
From first call to final report.
- 1ScopeA 20-minute call, then a fixed-fee proposal within three business days with the scope, deliverables and exclusions in writing.
- 2InformationA one-page checklist of the documents we need, and a private page to upload them. The clock starts when it is complete.
- 3BuildThe model is built from your documents. Every figure traces to its source, and the model's own checks must pass before anything is issued.
- 4Draft and finalA draft for one round of questions, a written QA check, then the final model and report, and a presentation where included.
- 5RefreshTwelve months on, the model can be rolled forward for a fraction of the original fee.
Built to be checked, and to be used after we leave.
Every workbook follows the same layout, so anyone who has seen one can find their way around the next.
- Inputs
- Every assumption in one place, in blue, each with its source and date. Change one and everything downstream follows.
- Sources & Assumptions
- A register of every document used and every judgement made, so a reviewer or auditor can follow the trail.
- Calculations
- Formula-driven workings with no hard-coded numbers, no macros and no hidden sheets.
- Scenarios
- Switches for the questions you will be asked: what if contributions rise 5%, the grant falls through or the tender is won.
- Checks
- Balance, reconciliation and sense checks that must all show zero errors before a draft is issued.
- Outputs
- The tables and charts that go into the report, ready for a council meeting, an AGM or a credit committee.
Measured against the rules that apply to you.
Council work is calculated against the current Financial Management (Sustainability) Guideline targets for the council’s tier and read against the Queensland Audit Office’s annual findings. Body corporate forecasts are built on the quantity surveyor’s asset report and meet the Standard Module requirement to reserve for anticipated major expenditure over at least the next nine years.
A written ten-point QA checklist is completed and signed for every deliverable before it leaves the office.
